Need a medical flight for a patient or loved one to or from Connecticut? With our award-winning air medical flight team members at Angel MedFlight Worldwide Air Ambulance Services, your patient can reach the care they need, wherever it is. Here’s a quick look at our critical care patient services. Our preferred part 135 operator, owns and operates medically equipped Learjet configured to promote the highest level of hygiene, safety, and patient comfort possible on the critical care journey.
Connecticut’s tourism industry continues to grow with an average of 8.5 million visitors every year. The numbers continue to grow with more tourists arriving in the state every summer for popular attractions. Unfortunately, travelers visiting Connecticut from other states and countries sometimes cannot return home on a commercial airline and require a medical flight (or Jet ICU) to reach rehabilitation or treatment after a critical illness, accident, or injury.
Connecticut also has an aging population. More than 575,000 Connecticut residents are age 65 or older, making up about 16% of the state’s population. That number is expected to continue rising as the oldest Baby Boomers reach their seventies. Unfortunately, it isn’t uncommon for senior patients to require a medical transport or (Jet ICU) to reach the right level of care closer to their family and support system. Angel MedFlight’s award winning medical flight nurses and flight paramedics have the knowledge and experience for all air medical critical care patients, including our senior patients.
At Angel MedFlight, we understand that when it comes to getting the care you need, every moment counts. That’s why our flight coordination team is here 24/7 – so our patients can reach the life changing care they need when they need it most. Angel MedFlight works exclusively with a preferred part 135 operator, to fly medically configured Learjet for hygiene, comfort, and safety on every flight. A flight captain and supporting pilot join our team on every healthcare mission while Angel MedFlight’s certified flight nurse (RN) and flight paramedic (EMP-T) care for your patient.
What makes Angel MedFlight different from other air ambulance providers?
Our clinicians set us apart from the air medical industry. They strive for the industry’s highest medical flight team certification and training standards. A certified nurse (RN) and paramedic (EMP-T) provide skilled care and support on every medical flight.
Every member of our medical flight team goes through routine comprehensive training and exams on important patient and air medical procedures. Most of our medical flight team members have over a decade of critical care experience and have achieved additional specialty certifications, including CCRN, CEN, CCP-C, CCEMTP. They also have a high-level knowledge of the air medical industry and partnering with Angel Flight and other organizations to ensure every patient reaches the treatment they need.
Every one of our medical flight team members is required to maintain board certification in the flight specialty (FP-C and CFRN) so they can provide care to our air ambulance patients in a controlled environment.
Our air ambulance flight nurses and paramedics frequently transport critical patients to and from Connecticut for specialty care, treatment, transplant, and rehabilitation. If you, a patient, or loved one is having a medical emergency in Connecticut or needs a medical transport to reach a healthcare facility there, our air ambulance teams provide the best medical transport care available.
