Massachusetts Air Ambulance

Massachusetts Locations

Are you, a patient, or family member in need of a medical flight to or from Massachusetts? No matter where you are, Angel MedFlight’s award-winning air ambulance team of flight paramedics and nurses can help you or your patient reach life-changing care, wherever it is located. Here’s a quick glance at our critical care patient services. Our preferred part 135 operator flies and operates Learjet that are perfect for comfort, safety and hygiene on the critical care journey.

The state receives 25 million domestic visitors a year and 1.8 million visitors from overseas. Travelers in Massachusetts from other states and countries sometimes need to return home via Jet ICU (or air ambulance) for the care, surgery, or rehabilitation required after a critical medical emergency, (illness, injury, or accident).

According to a research report from the City of Boston’s Commission on Affairs of the Elderly and the Gerontology Institute at UMass Boston, the state’s population is older than it has ever been before with the most senior Baby Boomers approaching their seventies. More than 14% of residents in Boston are 60 years old or older.

Senior patients frequently require an air ambulance or Angel Flight to reach the level of care they need, either for treatment options closer to home or nearby their immediate family members who live in another state. Our award-winning clinical staff has extensive experience in medical transports for all critical care patients across the spectrum, including our senior patients.

At Angel MedFlight we know that when it comes to getting you or your patients to the best possible care, every moment counts. That’s why our flight coordinators and dispatchers are here for you around the clock – so patients can reach the care they need when they need it most. Angel MedFlight works with our preferred part 135 operator to fly medically configured Learjet that promote speed, comfort and above all, safety. A flight captain and supporting pilot join us on every healthcare mission, while our certified flight nurse (RN) and flight paramedic (EMP-T) focus on caring for your patient.

What makes Angel MedFlight different?

At Angel MedFlight, our team strives for the industry’s highest training and certification standards for our medical flight team. On every flight, our paramedics (EMP-T) and certified nurses (RN) on board provide care our patients.

Each of our clinicians receives regular comprehensive training and exams on air medical and patient procedures. The majority of our clinicians have more than a decade of critical care experience and have also earned additional specialty certifications, including CCRN, CEN, CCP-C, CCEMTP.

Each of our medical flight team members are required to maintain board certification in the flight specialty within 90 days of their hire, (FP-C and CFRN) to provide care to our patients while in a controlled environment.

We regularly transport critical patients to and from Massachusetts for transplant, surgery, specialty care, treatment, and rehabilitation. If your patient or loved one is in a medical emergency in the Boston or greater Massachusetts area or needs an air ambulance to receive treatment from a healthcare provider there, Angel MedFlight will provide the highest quality care in the air.

Angel MedFlight has the highest patient satisfaction ratings online. Each Learjet owned and operated by our preferred part 135 operator provides patients with safety and the comfort of a faster and smoother ride. Their air ambulances include the critical care components required for air ambulance (Jet ICU) flights. Our certified flight paramedic and flight nurse and a flight crew with a captain and assisting pilot accompany patients and their family members or loved ones on each medical flight.

From bedside-to-bedside, our patients receive complete care, making the healthcare journey as comforting as possible. We also leave plenty of room for up to two loved ones to ride along for emotional support.

Your medical flight team, flight coordinator and your sending and or receiving facility stay in constant contact to meet all of your healthcare needs, including medications, IV fluids, oxygen, nutrition, and any other accommodations necessary.
